Zenon Kar, 13, lives in a space station with her family and friends in the year
2049. Her antics often get the space station's administrators in fits and on one
such occasion, her report of a chance encounter with the assistant to the
station's owner and a suspicion of illegal activity get her confined to Earth
when she isn't believed.
Zenon's troubles become much worse on Earth. Classmates at her new school
ostracize her due to a different style of life; the assistant chases her
believing she has information valuable to his boss; and of course, a crush on
Gregory, who saved her in a Physical Education class.
Zenon becomes involved in a race against time to save her beloved space station
from shutdown at the hands of its owner.
