It almost goes without saying that this is not a state of the art game, and will appear pretty dated in comparison with others now on the market. Personally that wasn't too important for me as I love this type of game (exploring new landscapes, interacting with other characters, selecting and developing my players from weaklings to fighting machines, etc). Having said that, it would have got a higher rating if it built on the enjoyable aspects of its precursors while bringing it at least a bit more up to date.
