Gemmico FolderInfo v2.30

As you might surmise from its moniker, this
utility delivers accurate and highly specific
reports about folders or drives on your PC.
The dual-pane interface is a bit chaotic for
our tastes, but once you get used to it,
you'll find it quite handy for managing disk
space. FolderInfo goes about its business at a
very rapid pace, displaying such data as how
much disk space a folder is using in terms of
both megabytes and percentages. 

It also shows
information regarding file type and number of
files, and lets you sort results by a variety
of parameters. In our tests, FolderInfo
quickly ferreted out 400MB of junk files,
including some temporary files not shown via
Windows Explorer. Clicking the What's New icon
shows you what has changed in your files and
folders since the last report, and we like the
program's ability to change attributes of
multiple files at once. If safety is a
concern, you can archive folders as ZIP files
before making changes. We think more advanced
users and system administrators will put
FolderInfo to good use.
